The foundation of Aşkale Cement Factory was laid in 1968. It went into operation in 1971. In 1993, it was bought by the ERÇİMSAN company through privatization. With the privatization, the button was pressed for both investments and expanding the market share. In the first place, improvement investments were initiated in order to eliminate the cumbersome structure of the factory. Serious savings were achieved as a result of small investments made in many units. In 1999The factory, which started the first capacity increase project, started the second capacity increase project in 2002. In 2003; vertical mill was commissioned, electro filter was put into service. While the new packaging was put into use in 2004, the foundation of the second clinker production line was laid in 2006 and it was commissioned in the following year. In the same year; clinker stock hall, preblendig, crusher and cement mill foundations were laid. In 2010, the foundation was laid for energy production from waste heat gas, and the power plant started production in 2011. The factory has OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety, ISO 9001 Quality Management systems. CEM I 42.5 R, CEM II AM (P-LL) 42.5 R, CEM II BM (P-LL) 42.5 N, CEM II BM (P-LL) 32.5 R and CEM IV / A The factory, which has EC conformity certificates for (P) 42.5 N products, also keeps its environmental sensitivity at the highest point.
