Van Cement FactoryThe foundation of was laid in 1967. The factory started operations in 1969. Cement Industry Industry between 1969-1996 (ÇİTOSAN), Rumeli Holding between 1996-2004 (after privatization), SDIF between 2004-2006, Orascom between 2006-2008, Lafarge between 2008-2009, LAFARGE in early September 2009 The factory, which was transferred to the AŞKALE GROUP, has been operating as Aşkale Van Cement Factory since this date. Approximately 110 million dollars of investment was made in the factory, which was purchased by Aşkale Çimento. Along with the 2nd production line, 2 new cement mills were built. With dozens of more investments such as renewal of the propulsion systems, new crusher, traveling machine and steel silo, Van Cement’s cement production capacity has increased significantly. CEM I 42.5 R, CEM I 42.5 R-SR 5, CEM II B-LL 32, The factory, which produces 5 R and CEM II A-LL 42.5 R cement, has made significant investments in the environment in recent years. The factory has ISO 9001 Quality Management System, TS EN ISO 50001: 2011 Energy Management System and TS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System Certificates.
