Aşkale Çimento Sanayi TAŞ .: Türkiye Çimento ve Toprak Sanayi A.Ş. The foundation was laid on 09.04.1968 on the Trabzon road, 3 km away from Aşkale District, in order to meet the cement requirement of the region. The rotary kiln was fired on 31.10.1971 and started its operation. The company, which worked as a factory manager affiliated to Türkiye Çimento Toprak Sanayi TAŞ. From its establishment until the end of 1984, was converted into an enterprise status as of 01.01.1985, and on 26.02.1987 it was converted to the status of Aşkale Çimento Sanayi TAŞ. With the decision dated 30.07.1991 and numbered 91/34, the shares of Türkiye Çimento ve Toprak Sanayii were transferred to the Republic of Turkey Prime Ministry Public Partnership Administration in order to privatize.
The factory was purchased by the multi-partner ERÇİMSAN Holding, established by Erzurum and the local people in 1993, through privatization. In the intervening time; Aşkale Çimento, which has become an important actor in the cement sector with its Aşkale, Trabzon, Van, Gümüşhane, Erzincan, Bilecik and Samsun Plants; There are ready-mixed concrete facilities in Erzurum, Ağrı, Aşkale, Trabzon, Beşikdüzü, Samsun, Bilecik and Bursa.

Serious efforts are carried out to minimize the consumption of natural resources and energy, to prevent soil, air and water pollution, and to recover the wastes at the maximum rate, with an environmentally friendly approach in all production processes and subsequent processes in the factories, facilities and enterprises in the Aşkale Cement Group. Continuous improvement is supported both financially and operationally in quality management systems, and suppliers and customers are encouraged to participate in this process at all facilities.
With the privatization in 1993, the button was pressed for both investments and the expansion of the market share, and investments for improvement were initiated in order to eliminate the cumbersome structure of the factory in Aşkale.
